Secret Garden Party

Paint fight at SGP

Clayton Wright

Shhh it’s a secret. Well not really. It’s only one of the most extravagant festivals and winter parties. I perform there as well as being the main radio presenter on Secret FM. In 2010 I was part of Gideon Reeling’s immersive theatrical performance and had the massive responsibility of driving a steam engine. 2011 saw Secret Garden Party push the boundaries of decadence with their Lost Lover’s Valentines Ball running over three nights in Winter. Gideon once again created a magical world that guests could enter, site sympathetic of the backdrop of Battersea Power station. I’m depicted playing ‘Teddy’; a member of Mr Reeling’s post-war workforce ‘The Trust’, hosts of the Lost Lovers Ball.

We guided revelers around The Battersea Power Station, taking the guests on an elaborate immersive adventure where they found enlightenment from our Guru who was high in the remains of the building hidden in the original 1940s control room of the power station. Gideon’s assistants created what proved to be an amazing site-specific experience which took visitors (and us) to parts of the power station that they’d never usually be allowed to explore.’
